Privacy
kabanos has no account, no telemetry and no servers of its own.
The app
- The app talks only to the clusters you add. Requests go directly from your Mac to each cluster (or through the SSH tunnel or proxy you configure).
- Connections, your query library, history, routines and settings are stored in a local database in your user folder.
- Passwords, API keys and SSH secrets are encrypted with the macOS Keychain and never written in plain text, logged or exported.
- Nothing is sent anywhere else — there is no analytics, crash reporting or update check.

This website
- The site counts visits itself, without cookies or third-party scripts. For each page view it keeps the page, the referring website’s domain, the country and the device type (desktop, mobile or tablet). Unique visitors are counted with an anonymous id derived from your IP address and browser that changes every day — the IP address itself is never stored, and visits can’t be linked across days. Clicks on the download buttons are counted the same way. Bots are ignored, and nothing is recorded if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
- Download numbers come from GitHub’s own counter on each release file.
- Downloads are served by GitHub Releases, which is subject to GitHub’s privacy statement.
- The only cookies are the sign-in cookies of the content editors on /admin, which is never counted.
