Settings & appearance
Themes, the menu-bar icon, the command palette, your data folder and request history.
Open Settings from the bottom of the activity bar or with ⌘,.
Appearance
Choose Dark (the default), Light or Match system. The sun / moon button in the title bar switches between light and dark at any time. The choice is remembered, and the editors, menus and native dialogs follow it.
The title bar
- Connection tabs — each open connection, with its color dot, engine badge, and a stripe for production or an
RObadge for read-only. Click + to add a connection. Tabs are restored on the next launch. - The command palette — click the search field or press ⌘K to jump to any connection, screen, saved query or routine — and, for the active connection, any index, alias, data stream or template.
The menu-bar icon
kabanos puts a small icon in the macOS menu bar. Click it to Open kabanos or to open one of your connections directly in the Explorer.
About and data
The About card shows the app, Electron, Chrome and Node versions and your data folder, with Show in Finder. See Privacy & safety for what’s inside.
Request history
Shows how many requests are recorded (the newest 20,000 are kept). Clear history deletes them; your saved queries, tabs and routines are kept.
